Yes, actually…

FIVE Palm Jumeirah has successfully established itself as the go-to hotel in Dubai for the city’s party people, thanks to a lively new brunch, stunning rooftop bar and sellout ladies’ days.

But there’s now another string to this hotels nightlife bow, with the opening of a hidden new nightclub. Aptly named Secret Room, the club is accessed via a graffiti-filled corridor for those arriving on foot, or just drive your supercar straight into the venue – a privilege that will be reserved for Secret Room’s super VIP guests.

The new club will be open three days a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, with access granted by a unique finger print identification. Clients selected by Secret Room management will have their fingerprint registered, although those with reservations will also be able to access the secret spot.

The design of the new club takes inspiration from speakeasy-style concepts from the 18th century, featuring a hand painted mural, antique candelabra and elaborate crown motifs. By contrast, the central bar has been designed by modern architect Paolo Ferrari, and transparent tables and bar stools give the new secret spot a futuristic feel.

On the decks, expect a mix of hip-hop and R&B as the foundation for the tempo, but the venue also promises DJs will ‘delve into other soundscapes such as; Trap, Dancehall, Reggaeton, Afro beat, House & EDM’. We can’t wait to see the guest DJs this venue brings.

Now, how do we get that sought-after fingerprint registration?
