This is glamping taken to the next level…

If you need somewhere to get away to but don’t fancy jumping on a flight then this Dubai desert staycation might just be the perfect weekend trip for you.

Whether you’re a camping novice with no idea where to start, or experienced pitcher tired of bringing home half of the Dubai desert in your own tent, why not not spend the night in this bubble-like tent with amazing views of the stars?

Introducing Starlight Camp UAE, a luxurious and roomy camping experience in a 30 square metre bubble tent, that comes complete with a queen size bed, curtains, sink and mirror. It’s got a semi see-through crystal roof too, which means you’ll feel like you’re sleeping directly under the stars…

Everything will be set up for you in advance by hosts Fabienne and Urs Eiselin, so no need to spend hours fiddling around with tent equipment.  The bubble tent is pitched around 45 minutes drive from Dubai International Airport, and it’s designed just for two – so you’ll be totally secluded.

And as far as the camp itself goes, this pop-up bubble tent is pretty luxe. It boasts an outdoor lounge, telescope for stargazing, dining area, BBQ, kitchen utensils, toilet, shower, Bluetooth speaker and electricity. Best of all, it’s totally dog friendly – and you’re encouraged to bring your four-legged friend along too.

A one-night stay is priced at Dhs1800 per night for two, and also includes complimentary soft drinks, tea, coffee and breakfast. You’ll also be brought to the camp by your hosts in a 4×4 and if you head down early enough, take advantage of a desert walk where you can see gazelles, Oryx and camels.

You can use the BBQ facilities to cook your own meals too, or pre-arrange special dinner requests for your stay.

Just don’t forget your thermals – the desert can get very chilly in the evenings and temperatures drop as low as 10 degrees at night.
