If you’re a car owner in Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi Department of Transport has an update in parking timings in the capital for you during Ramadan 2019.

According to an official tweet sent out by the Abu Dhabi Department of Transport, car owners can park for free between 2pm and 9pm every day of the week during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

This means that parking fees will apply only from 9am to 2pm in the morning hours and 9pm to 2.30pm the following day.

The tweet also confirmed that parking fees will only apply till midnight on Thursday.

Parking will be free every Fridays as usual and will remain free until 8.59am on Saturday.

The new timings have only changed during the Holy Month of Ramadan (which lasts about a month) and once it’s over, parking will return back to its regular timings.

Public transportation

Do you travel by bus? Take note of this official announcement regarding buses and timings from the Abu Dhabi Department of Transport.

While bus services will continue to operate non-stop after sunset during iftar, take note of these bus numbers as they have changed in frequency to one hour: 111, 110, 102, 290, 190, 101, A10, A2, A1, 410, 216, 175, 011, 09, 08, 07, A40, A20, 063, 065, 056, 044, 026, 022, X5, X4, X3, X2, 069 and 067.

Ferry services also have experienced a change in timing with two trips taking place each day during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

From Delma Island on Saturday to Thursday, the first ferry leaves at 6am with the second trip at 1pm. On Fridays, the first ferry out is at 7am and the second at 1.30pm.

From Jabal Al Dhanna (Mugharaq Port) on Saturday to Thursday, the first ferry departs at 9am followed by the second ferry at 4pm. On Friday the first ferry out is at 10am with the second at 4pm.
