The Lion King
We here at What’s On couldn’t wait for this one to come out, and we’re sure we aren’t the only ones. The ‘live action’ version of The Lion King is one of the most anticipated Disney remakes of all time. For those of you who haven’t seen the 1994 Disney animated film – the story follows young lion cub, Simba who is next in line for the throne after his father, Mufasa. After the murder of Mufasa by Simba’s jealous and throne hungry Uncle Scar the young lion prince flees his kingdom, only to learn the true meaning of responsibility and bravery.

Finding Steve McQueen
TBased on a true life story that occurred in 1972 in California, USA, Finding Steve McQueen follows a gang of close-knit thieves from Youngstown, Ohio who managed to rob $30 million in illegal contributions and blackmail money from President Richard Nixon’s secret fund. Though not the brightest of bulbs, they managed to evade the FBI for seven years.

Rio escapes with his sister and make plans to meet his mother’s friend. Along the way, he encounters Sheriff Pat Garrett, on the hunt for the infamous outlaw Billy the Kid. Rio finds himself increasingly entwined in the lives of these two legendary figures as the cat and mouse game of Billy the Kid’s final year of life plays out. Ultimately, Rio is forced to choose which type of man he is going to become, the outlaw or the man of valor, and will use this self realisation in a final act to save his family.

Quiet Comes The Dawn
This Russian horror film follows the story of female protagonist whose brother dies under mysterious circumstances. The girl begins to pursue realistic nightmares, and she goes to the institute of somnology, where she and other patients are immersed in a joint lucid dream. But after dawn, they will wake up in a completely different reality, far worse than any nightmare.
