Reggaeton star J Balvin cancels Abu Dhabi show due to illness
Ticket holders can expect a full refund…
Mi Gente hitmaker J Balvin has been forced to cancel his show in Abu Dhabi this week due to illness.
The reggaeton star was scheduled to perform on Thursday September 5 at The Arena on Yas Island as part of Abu Dhabi Showdown Week.
“Due to sudden illness, J Balvin has regrettably had to cancel his Abu Dhabi Showdown Week performance. We wish J Balvin a speedy recovery. As per the ticket terms and conditions, all ticket holders are entitled to a full refund and this will be automatically refunded to the card used for purchase,” said a DCT Abu Dhabi statement.
Ticket holders for the concert later this week are eligible for full refunds, as well as a 30 per cent discount on remaining tickets for the Red Hot Chili Peppers concert, which will take place the night before on Wednesday 4 September.
As well as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Abu Dhabi Showdown week will see performances from Brit popstar Jess Glynne, rappers Tinie Tempah and 2 Chainz and sets from DJs Erick Morillo, Rudimental, Sigma and Sigala.
Abu Dhabi Showdown Week is running from September 1 to 7, and will see a week-long schedule of city-wide events and activations take place including pool and beach parties, shopping and restaurant deals across the capital.
It all leads up to UFC 242 on Saturday September 7. The reigning UFC lightweight world champion Khabib Nurmagomedov will battle interim champ Dustin Poirier in the title unification bout at the The Arena on Yas Island.
