Soul Street launches its brunch, SKY2.0 reopens and the outdoor cinema is back…

1. Boost your wellness

Westin Hotels are dedicated to all things ‘wellness’ this month, with a special dome popping up all over Dubai and Abu Dhabi. This weekend, it will be in La Mer offering immune boosting juices. 2. Head to a huge Oktoberfest party

3. Check out a newly reopened rooftop bar

Cielo Sky Lounge has recently reopened for the winter season, offering stellar views of Dubai Creek and the harbour. Thursday nights are focused on ‘Afro Tech’ – a mix of house music and afrobeats. Expect tunes from DJ Jason Kabuki, DJ Kenny Boots and DJ Cory Centric from 5pm to 3am.

4. Stock up on some bargain books

The biggest book sale in the world is making its way back to Dubai for another huge event at Dubai Studio City, and it kicks off this weekend. The sale will be taking place 24 hours a day from Thursday October 10 to 20, in Sound Stages 2 and 3, Dubai Studio City. Entrance to the book fair is free, so you can browse to your heart’s content and find yourself some bargain books. Visitors can enjoy savings between 50 and 80 per cent off the usual retail prices meaning you can fill your library for less.

5. Party at the reopening of a superclub

Dubai’s newest nightclub, SKY2.0 is reopening after a summer hiatus this weekend, with three nights of excitement in store. Wednesdays present a new urban nights called Dstrkt, which will see new resident DJ Dany Neville spin the decks every week. Thursdays are the signature night, offering a mix of house and R&B tunes, while Boombox Fridays take you back throughout the years.

6. Paddle for a good cause

Ignite’s Pink is Punk is organising a paddle in support of Al Jalila Foundation and Brest friends. The paddle race has many categories, so everyone can get involved: Juniors ages 10 to 13 (1 kilometre), fun paddlers (1.5 kilometre), teens aged 14 to 17 (3 kilometres), men’s elite (4.5 kilometres) and ladies’ elite (4.5 kilometres). 7. Try a brand new brunch

11. Trek amongst marine life
