Keep an eye out for Mr Monopoly as he tours Dubai ahead of the game’s launch…

Monopoly recently announced that they will soon launch a Dubai edition of the much-loved board game.

Ahead of the launch on Tuesday November 5, Mr Monopoly is touring the city, dropping hints as to which landmarks could be included. As we prepare for the big reveal, we’ve made a few educated guesses as to which landmarks we think will be included.

Here’s all the landmarks we think will be on the Dubai Monopoly board.

Al Seef

Mr Monopoly has been spotted riding abras along the waterways of Dubai landmark, Al Seef. The formally-dressed mascot was seen enjoying a traditional Arabic lunch and taking in the views of Old Dubai’s rich heritage. The destination is synonymous with Dubai’s humble beginnings and gives visitors a taste of Arabian life before the skyscrapers and smart tech became the norm.

Atlantis, The Palm

Atlantis, The Palm was the place Mr Monopoly chose to announce his new board, so it’s a pretty safe bet we’ll find the iconic hotel on there too. Home to the Lost Chambers Aquarium, Aquaventure Waterpark, Wavehouse and soon-to-open White Beach, Atlantis is a one-stop destination for all of your entertainment needs in Dubai.

Dubai Opera

Unless Mr Monopoly is a huge fan of Phantom of the Opera (who isn’t?), we suspect he paid the stunning landmark a visit to secure it as a location for the board. He didn’t go undetected though, as a group of schoolchildren from NAS Dubai ambushed him for a selfie.

Heart of Europe

The students of NAS Dubai should have careers in detective work ahead of them, because they also spotted Mr Monopoly in Heart of Europe. The man-made island archipelago is located in the sea as part of the World Islands project and is making incredible progress ahead of its completion date.

Global Village

Global Village is set to reopen its doors for its 24th season on Tuesday October 29, and we have a strong suspicion Mr Monopoly will be there to help celebrate. The iconic attraction is a go-to for shopping, dining, entertainment, exploring, and more.

Who doesn’t love a beach day? Mr Monopoly was spotted down at The Beach in JBR, taking in the sights of Ain Dubai and spinning on the revolving Flying Cup attraction. As a popular destination for so many of Dubai’s residents, its likely the beach will be on the Dubai Monopoly board.

City Walk

Have you really been to Dubai unless you’ve cruised around City Walk in a red McLaren sports car? Apparently not. Mr Monopoly looked uber suave as he was spotted being driven through the streets of the Meraas attraction late at night.

Burj Al Arab

It wouldn’t be a board of iconic landmarks without including the world’s first and only seven-star hotel, Burj Al Arab. Trust us when we say, we’ll be putting all our hotels on this tile when the game is officially released.

Souk Madinat

Who wouldn’t want to put their hotels on the gorgeous Souk Madinat Jumeirah? The gorgeous shopping and dining destination, surrounded by stunning waterways is a top tourist destination, as well as a place where residents come to relax with friends.

Burj Khalifa

With a tower this big, Burj Khalifa might need two tiles to fit onto the board, but either way we think it will be on there. We predict the world’s tallest building will take the top spot as the most expensive property in the game.

The Dubai Mall

While you can’t technically put hotels on a mall, we still think the huge shopping centre deserves a place on the coveted board. Attracting millions of visitors every year, the world’s biggest mall is home to hundreds of shops and restaurants, as well as The Dubai Fountains.

The off-land entertainment destination may be still fairly new, but we think Bluewaters deserves to make it onto the board. With a five-star hotel, the biggest ferris wheel in the world and plenty of things to do for families and groups of friends, Bluewaters has it all.

We’ll have to wait until November 4 to see if we’re right…
