Sponsored: There’s set to be a spectacular fireworks display as well as a brand new IMAGINE show…

Make sure you’re at Dubai Festival City Mall this Thursday to witness a Diwali celebration to remember. The popular destination will showcase a spectacular fireworks display, alongside the fourth edition of its huge IMAGINE show.

The new show is called Hathi’s Garden and is based on the story of Prince Jai and Princess Maya who live with a family of elephants in India. The tale follows the journey of Hathi, a baby elephant, who is separated from her family and travels through India to try and reunite with them.

Not only will you be able to see Hathi’s Garden, complimented by water technology, pyrotechnics, colourful lasers, mesmerising lights and dramatic effects, there’s also Bollywood dancing, a live DJ and mega prizes to be won.

Be sure to head down from 4pm on Thursday October 24, as there’ll be plenty happening in the build up to the fireworks.

With photo ops, free LED wristbands and loads more free events happening throughout the night, you won’t want to miss out. The huge fireworks display kicks off at 8pm, so make sure to get there early and find the best spot.

If you can’t make it on the day to see the launch of Hathi’s Garden don’t worry, the new IMAGINE show will continue until Friday November 29. The multi-Guinness World Record winning show combines lasers, light, fire and water to tell remarkable, emotive stories completely for free.

Steven Cleaver, Director, Shopping Centres Dubai, Al-Futtaim Malls, said: “We wanted to celebrate Diwali like never before and give the 3.3 million Indian expatriates that are away from home the chance to celebrate the occasion here with us in Dubai. Elephants have a prestigious place in Indian culture, and the story of ‘Hathi’ the little elephant creates the perfect IMAGINE show for Diwali.”
