The fresh trees have been imported from the Netherlands…

If you’ve left your decorating to the last minute in the hope of finding a real Christmas tree, then you’re in luck – as you can now get them at IKEA. Fill your home with the scent of fresh pine, in the way that only the real deal can, and make your Christmas extra cosy this year.

The trees, which have been brought to the UAE from the Netherlands, are available in two sizes. The smaller trees are 180 centimetres wide and 210 centimetres tall, and cost Dhs499, while the larger trees are 210 centimetres wide and 240 centimetres tall, and these are priced at Dhs599.

You can take your tree home from the store, located in Dubai Festival City, or you can arrange for a home delivery once you’ve picked and paid for it. IKEA also has a huge selection of festive decorated pieces, so you can pick those up at the same time to make sure your tree looks magnificent once you get it home.

It’s not yet clear whether you’ll be able to get real Christmas trees at the new IKEA store, which is due to open at Dubai Festival Plaza in mid-December. The 32,500 square metre store will be the biggest in the region, will join Marks and Spencer, Lulu Hypermarket, and several other stores at the new Festival Plaza Mall.
