Drivers, take note…

If you drive a car in the UAE, you need to be aware that as from November 1, 2021, petrol prices are rising once again. Fuel prices for Super 98 are jumping to Dhs2.80 per litre, up from Dhs2.60 per litre in October, following a steady decrease in prices throughout the year.

Additionally, Special 95 will be priced at Dhs2.69 per litre (a rise from Dhs2.49 in October) and diesel will be priced at Dhs2.81 per litre (a rise from Dhs2.51 per litre in October).

All prices include the five per cent VAT.

The UAE’s Ministry of Energy first began setting fuel prices based on average global prices in August 2015. Prior to that, the price of petrol in the UAE was subsidised by the government, which shielded consumers from global fluctuations in the cost of petrol.
