First look: Joe and the Juice
From Copenhagen to Dubai…
What started as a humble beginning at Rue Verté on Ny Østergade in central Copenhagen, Joe & The Juice has grown to more than 300 locations across 16 locations across the world. The list includes New York, London, Reykjavík (Iceland) and now, Dubai is next in line to enjoy the global juice market.
The popular Danish concept brand opens its doors in two locations across Dubai on September 6. Its flagship store can be found in Dubai Design District (d3) with indoor seating as well as an outdoor terrace with views overlooking Burj Khalifa. Its second branch, which also opens on September 6, can be found at Mall of the Emirates.
How good is the Copenhagen-born global coffee empire? Well, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai happens to be a fan.
Both branches (and future branches to come) will emanate a vibrant, uplifting environment. Meet and chill with mates or get out your laptop and start ticking things off your to-do list – the hip ambience provides a great atmosphere.
Take a dive into the menu
Of course, you can expect a lot of juices at Joe & The Juice. There are 14 options including global favourites, Joe’s Green Mile made with broccoli, spinach, avocado, lemon, and apple, Go Away Doc made with carrot, ginger, and apple and much more.
For those of you who haven’t tried a Joe & The Juice drink before, the drinks are always made to order. The team have high-quality and sustainably sourced ingredients.
Their signature shakes include a Power Shake – a blend of strawberry, banana, and vanilla milk, and an Instagrammable Blue Magic shake made from blue spirulina, avocado, protein, dates, lemon, and oat coconut – it’s a vegan favourite.
Of course, they prepare drinks for caffeine fans with hot and cold options using premium blends and coffee beans sourced from Uganda and Guatemala. Want to try one of their popular options? Try the Joe’s Iced Vanilla Latte and Iced Matcha Latte – perfect for summer.
For bites, Joe & The Juice serve up salad bowls, breakfast bowls, and sandwiches including spicy tuna and Joe’s Club – a signature chicken, avocado and vegan pesto delight. Vegans, try the green bowl and avocado sandwich.
A world first…
The Joe & The Juice branch in Dubai Design District will be the first cafe ever to have an in-store retail section. There will even be a dedicated section on the website where customers can purchase their reusable cups, coffee capsules and coffee beans.
And there’s more…
Veda Inc and its subsidiary, Lavoya plan to roll out 10 stores across the country during its first two years of operation, with a bigger aim to open 50 in the next 10 years in the UAE.
Keen to know when the next one is opening? The third outlet will be at Barsha’s Galleria Mall. It plans to open on September 27.
