Always topping the list for date nights, mate nights or just any excuse for a picturesque, authentic Italian meal — Souk Madinat Jumeirah’s Trattoria is reopening this month after a comprehensive cosmetic glow-up, and a glowing enhancement of the menu.
The kitchen is headed up by Head Chefs Antonio Iacovelli and Modestino Pescatore with their distinguished culinary team — they make up the right ingredients, for a truly outstanding gastronomic experience

What’s On the menu?
The menu includes a range of classic Italian dishes and some impressive signature flexes. The small bite and starter ensemble includes arancini Sicilian, arrosticini, burrata e peperonata and carpaccio di salmone agli agrumi.
There are hearty soups and fresh salads too — take for example their minestrone primaverile, insalata Mediterranaea and cacciucco. And for the dazzling selection of mains, it’s always a difficult decision choosing between the alluring range of wood-fired pizza and traditional pasta, or sampling statement staples from Naples and beyond, with fan favourites tagliata di filetto, coscia di pollo alla senape and Milanese di vitello.
What else makes it worth a trip?
Tucked away amongst the romantic blue hues of Souk Madinat’s interweaving waterways, Trattoria offers diners the option of being seated inside the cosy confines of its handsome, rustic interiors, or sitting out on the terrace with mesmeric canal and palm tree views.
Offering seatings for lunch, dinner, sundowners, soirees and as a sophisticated spot for an aperitif or two — Trattoria’s reopening adds another layer of class to the resort’s already chic dining portfolio. But the charisma and icon status of Souk Madinat draws from a sum of many parts, it’s the dreamy location, artisanal souk-strewn streets, theatre, perhaps unmatched potential for an evening promenade as well as the remarkable restaurants and the feelings of exclusivity that come from being ferried by the dhow gondoliers.
Come say ‘ciao’…
