Bab al Shams
Dubai’s iconic luxury desert resort Bab Al Shams is now a Rare Finds Resort, operated by Kerzner Group. After undergoing an extensive renovation in 2022, it reopened last year with a new culinary offering and enhanced guest rooms. Bab al Shams is less than an hour away from Dubai, located just off Al Qudra Road surrounded by endless dunes, nature reserves, wildlife such as oryx and gazelles, and man-made lakes. Set over a sprawling 371,000 square metre landscape, Terra Solis Dubai can be found in a hidden oasis surrounded by endless dunes. Anantara Qasr Al Sarab
Hidden among the sea of rolling, flame-orange dunes of the Empty Quarter, Anantara Qasr Al Sarab is one of the UAE’s best-loved Arabian escapes. Bateen Liwa Resort
The newest addition to the desert resorts of Abu Dhabi is Bateen Liwa Resort, a project from those grand dames of glamping, Bab Al Nojoum. Though the brand’s previous resorts have been built around tent, chalet and AirStream accommodation — this development is comprised entirely of villas, with one, two and three bedroom options available, as well as the rather regal looking Royal Villas.
