Dubai International Airport is getting resident DJs
Another world first for DXB…
Your DXB airport experience just got amped up a notch as Dubai International Airport is set to become the world’s first airport to host resident DJs.
As part of its MusicDXB platform, Dubai Airport is partnering up with the What’s On Nightlife Award-winning DJ duo Hollaphonic, who will take up a monthly residency at the airport.
You’ll be able to catch the DJ duo doing their first set at DXB this weekend from 12pm to 2pm on Thursday April 4 and Saturday April 6, and the same again next weekend.
So, where will you see them spin?
Well, according to Gulf News, decks have been set up at different points within the airport, and the duo will change where they play depending on which part of the airport is busiest at the time.
“The programme venue will flex week by week on the basis of traffic and seasonality,” confirmed Matt Horobin, Brand Director at Dubai Airports.
Hollaphonic, made up of Greg Stainer and Olly Wood, will also be in charge of bringing in other international and local artists to DXB, to present free monthly concerts for those travelling through.

“Music influences our mood and even more so when we travel,” said Olly Wood of the announcement. “Right now, on average one in five people are walking around the airport with headphones on… so partnering with DXB seemed as natural as Mariah hitting a high note.”
