4. Massaad BBQ Farm to Table

Inspired by countryside cooking in Lebanon, Masaad’s owners adopt the ‘eat well, eat local’ mantra. Ninety per cent of ingredients are sourced regionally. Even the chicken arrives fresh from a UAE farm. Try the shish taouk (Dhs42) or satisfy that sweet tooth with mouhalabieh (Dhs10), a Lebanese dessert.

5. Haru Robatayaki

Grab your staple Japanese favourites served with an authentic twist. The traditional robatayaki cooking style is adopted here so the chefs cook over an open flame. Originating from Japanese beach restaurants, where fishermen cooked their catch over an open fire using an oar, Haru chefs serve their dishes using authentic wooden paddles. The cosy diner also has open-plan cooking stations so guests are close to all the action.
