FYI: The shopping centre at Al Furjan is now open
And yes, there is a Spinneys…
Live in Al Furjan? Or in the Jebel Ali area? Well, a new retail centre has just opened there that should simplify your life – it has parking for more than 300 cars, 10 cafes and restaurants, and will soon have a medical centre and a Jebel Ali Village Nursery.
Here’s a full list of the shops there: Spinneys, Super Trim, Tips & Toes Beauty Spa, Shima Beauty Lounge, Life Health and Wellness, Al Ghurair Exchange, Champion Cleaners, Hallmark, New Era Bookshop, Al Jabar Optical, Life Pharmacy, Du, Medi Centres Polyclinic, Jebel Ali Village Nursery and V Perfumes.
What about the cafes and restaurants? There will be a Costa Coffee, Oregano, French Bakery, Gloria Jeans, Jugo Juice, Baskin Robbins, Which Wich, Al Arrab, Bikanervala and a McDonalds.
This shopping spot is the first of two in Al Furjan – and you’ll find it in the southern end of the community.
The area will eventually also include a sports and recreation hub that will have a restaurant, swimming pool, sports court and gym: this is scheduled to open by the end of quarter one in 2017 (aka, the end of March).
The second shopping centre will include a mosque for 500 people, which is also slated for completion by the end of the first quarter of 2017. This shopping centre will have a gym, and 35 shops, restaurants and cafes.
Al Furjan is currently home to 6,000 people – the Nakheel development has a projected population of 65,000 when complete.
