Love Hollywood? Love philanthropy? You’ll love this Leo news…

Leonardo DiCaprio, bonafide Hollywood legend, stopped by Dubai last week as part of his drive to raise awareness for climate change. We love that man.

The Oscar winner paid a visit to Dubai’s Sustainable City – a suburb known for its environmental friendliness in terms of solar energy use, greenery and bio-domes.

DiCaprio is a well-known advocate for the environment and green living – having established the Leonardo DiCaprio foundation in 1998 which focuses no raising environmental awareness.

The star of The Revenant also has an environmental documentary of his own, Before The Flood, where DiCaprio meets up with scientists, activists and world leaders to discuss the danger that climate change poses to our planet.

During his long overdue Oscar acceptance speech in 2016, DiCaprio mentioned, “It is the most urgent threat facing our entire species, and we need to work collectively together and stop procrastinating.

“We need to support leaders around the world who do not speak for the big polluters, but who speak for all of humanity, for the indigenous people of the world, for the billions and billions of underpriveleged people out there who would be most affected by this.”

After his weekend in Dubai, DiCaprio reportedly headed on to Rwanda, where he was seen shopping at a market, according to the Daily Mail, while in the country for a gorilla trek.
