And bungee jumping, too

Dubai Safari is currently closed for summer renovations and to give its roster of 3,000 animals a bit of a break from the scorching heat.

But it looks like the wildlife park might have some exciting new attractions planned for when it reopens its doors on October 1.

A former employee of Dubai Safari, speaking to the The Khaleej Times, has been quoted as saying that not one, but two ziplines are currently being installed over the Wadi area of the park.

The 40-foot high zipline for adults will allegedly offer a unique new way to experience the animals. The second zipline will be for children, the former staff member said.

And that’s not all, the report goes on to say that a bungee jumping experience is also expected to open alongside the two ziplines. You’ll have to be over 18 to try it and we’re hoping it’s not strategically located above the lion’s den – gulp.

Prices to enter the park are set to remain the same (Dhs30 for children and Dhs85 for adults), however, access to the zipline and bungee jump will apparently be charged extra.

Again, these new attractions have yet to be officially announced by Dubai Safari, so take everything with a grain of salt. However, if true, we can’t wait to experience the wildlife park in an entirely new way come October.
