It’s one of the best and most visible meteor showers of the year…

Get excited space fans, there’s a stunning meteor shower expected in Dubai tonight.

The Perseid Meteor Shower is one of the most reliable and visible meteor showers of the year, and it’s expected to be most visible tonight, on Sunday August 12.

This year during peak, people should see about 60 to 70 meteors per hour, but in outburst years (such as in 2016) the rate can be between 150 and 200 meteors an hour.

Last year, the meteor shower was more difficult to see, as the moon was three quarters full. However this year should be an almost moonless night, making it one of the best meteor showers of the year.

So, we’re hopeful to get ourselves a gram-worthy shot.
