Is Marshmello the next act to be announced for the F1 concerts?
It looks like the award-winning DJ could be on the bill for Thursday’s performance…
The third artist announcement for the 2019 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is expected this week, and ahead of it, Yas Marina Circuit have dropped a few clues – and social media users think they know who the artist will be.
Thanks to a series of clues posted to the Yas Marina Circuit Instagram, fans seem to think all clues point to American DJ Marshmello being the next artist to perform at the after race concerts.
The soon-to-be-announced artist will headline the closing concert on the Thursday night, which has typically been headlined by a DJ.

In an initial video clip posted across Yas Marina Circuit’s social media channels, shows a crossword puzzle in which fans are required to guess the names of the artist’s hit songs. On social media user guessed the answers to be Happier, Wolves, Friends, Alone and Silence – all songs by electronic music DJ Marshmello (who’s real name is Christopher Comstock).
The Instagram profile also offered quizzes on its stories to help fans with their guesses. The first was a poll to see if people thought the artist was a male or female, the second required a guess on whether the debut album was released in 2015 or 2011, whether they performed at Tomorrowland festival, and finally how many albums they have released.
Marshmello is known for collaborating with some of the biggest artists in the world, including Anne-Marie, Bastille and Selena Gomez, earning him three number ones in the US charts. He also won a MTV Europe Music Award for Best Electronic in 2018.
No stranger to the UAE, Marshmello last performed in Dubai at Red Fest, which took place in February 2018.
