Nothing beats a juicy burger…

If you’re a fan of the patty and bun, this list is for you. There’s nothing a good burger can’t fix. It’s the perfect comfort/hangover/don’t-know-what-to-have meal, and with a side of fries and a crispy soda, you’ve got all the food groups.

Here are 7 of the best burgers in Abu Dhabi

BlueGrill

BlueGrill is an upscale steakhouse and so they probably know a thing or two about meats. They have a solid beef burger made up of a fat meat patty and all the ingredients for a typical burger, with tomato, onions, lettuce and cheddar cheese. Priced at Dhs150. May be a bit pricey, but you’ll savour every bite.

BlueGrill, Yas Island Rotana, Abu Dhabi, daily, 6pm to 12am, Tel: (0) 2 656 4171, @bluegrill_yasisland

Slaw and More

The UAE’s (and our) favourite homegrown burger brand  has a fancier location at Al Qana where Chef Ali Yazdi is serving elevated versions of his masterpieces at Slaw. Juicy, meaty and packed with flavour, these burgers may be more fine-dining, but they’re just as good. Chase away all your weekday blues with bangin’ burgers at Slaw and More.

Slaw and More, Al Qana, Al Maqta Street, 10am to 1am Sun to Thurs, 10am to 2am Fri and Sat. Tel: (0) 54 289 9323,  @slawandmore

ADRIFT Burger Bar

ADRIFT Burger Bar by ‘Gypsy Chef’ David Myers began life as a pop-up on Venice Beach and had a highly successful run at the Expo. Now in Abu Dhabi with a permanent address at Yas Mall, the menu features a range of burgers, milkshakes and sides, but the DM Burger, once described as ‘The Perfect Burger’ by The New York Times, is the signature here, served with a medium-rare patty topped with Vermont cheddar, lettuce, and secret sauce on a brioche bun.

We’re all familiar with this one and we all love it. One of the UAE’s most loved burger joints, Pickl has two branches in Abu Dhabi, in Mamsha and World Trade Centre, as well as a cool drive-thru in Al Ain. Located in the Al Zakher Drive-thru Park, Pickl is available in Al Ain for pickup. Their core menu is tightly packed with customisable potato-bunned chuck patty beef burgers combos, messy fries and obnoxiously-proportioned chicken sandos.

Buwagyu

These incredible burgers are something out of a wagyu dream. The wagyu burgers come in plenty of different varieties, with mushroom, truffle, breakfast burgers and branching further, toasts and sandos. But whatever it is, it’s all wagyu beef goodness. Buwagyu has branches in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and have just recently moved into Riyadh.
