In what is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated curtain drops in the capital this year —Modon’s Hudayriyat Leisure and Entertainment District opens its doors to the public tomorrow, November 9.

Located just 20 minutes west of Abu Dhabi’s downtown buzz, the adventure island has been loaded with a thrilling arsenal of entertainment firepower. Amenities that include a glamping site, fully modern sports facilities, restaurants, adrenaline pursuits, chill spots, heritage trail, eco hubs and an exciting chunk more.

And you can actually prebook your trip to Hudayriyat Leisure and Entertainment District now, on the hudayriyatisland.ae website.

Intense sporting action

Hudayriyat houses a huge variety of competitive sports facilities, such as a full-size football pitch, as well as tennis, basketball and badminton courts.

Those that enjoy testing the structural integrity of knee pads in search of sick stunts and gnarly air have a BMX Track, Splash Park, High Rope Park, Skate Park, and a network of OCR Park obstacle courses to get stuck into.

There’s a range of five to 10 kilometre shaded cycling and jogging paths to explore, including a 300 metre section of floating track.

The Hudayriyat Heritage Trail offers a unique opportunity to investigate the natural, historical and cultural significance of the island, at a pace as hurried or relaxed as you wish.

In-tents accommodation

A night under the stars, but make it modern, convenient and luxurious. The island’s Bab Al Nojoum campground offers a range of glamping options starting with standard two-man tents, and leading all the way up to opulent two-floor swag tents housing up to six people and providing amazing stargazing experiences.

Campers will also have access to a private beach, which we’ve heard rumours will have its own cinema. The site will also include facilities for visitors to BYOT (bring your own tent), or camper van.

Extensive eating options

Marsana is the district’s dining hub, a 17-outlet waterfront homage to food glorious food. Just next door there’s a public beach, outdoor gym and marina with its own wooden pier.
