Toolroom Records boss Mark Knight’s name will be popping up in Dubai’s club listings on a regular basis after the UK DJ and producer signed up for a monthly residency in the city.

Knight fans can work themselves into a lather when he scrubs up for his new residency at S.O.A.P, the Friday night party at Bur Dubai high-end nightclub People By Crystal.

Kicking off on March 21, Mark will appear once a month at the venue for the next eight months, although his dates are somewhat fluid.

It’s a fitting return to the city for the label boss, who flew in for the launch of S.O.A.P last October. Over the past few months, guests at the club have included Steve Aoki and Roger Sanchez. Following Mark’s gig there on Friday, he’ll re-appear at the club on April 18 and May 9.

Mazen El Zein, head honcho of Crystal Group, said he was thrilled to have Mark onboard. “He’s brought a whole new dimension to the partying scene,” said El Zein. “His music targets a niche EDM audience and we think this will provide a unique experience for our patrons.”

Mark started record label Toolroom more than a decade ago, and it’s since gone on to become one of the biggest independent dance labels in clubland.

A regular at festivals all over the world, Knight’s Dubai residency starts just a week before he makes his annual pilgrimage to Miami for Winter Music Conference week.

Marking his trip to WMC, the recently released Toolroom Miami 2014 compilation features over 60 full-length tracks from Breach, MK, Dusky, Weiss, Shadow Child, Jay Lumen, Hot Since 82, Huxley, Doorly, Richy Ahmed, Friend Within and many more, alongside three full-length DJ mixes spanning a multitude of genres.
