Listen to Coldplace
Not quite Coldplay, these British rocker wannabes – Coldplace – will be hosting a tribute concert at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club. Here’s hoping fan favourites like Yellow, A Sky full of Stars, and Speed of Sound make an appearance on the set list.

Ladies night at Yas Waterworld

Listen to Beethoven and Mozart
As part of the Abu Dhabi Festival, the Budapest Festival Orchestra (conducted by its founder Iván Fischer) will perform with the award-winning Norwegian pianist Leif Ove Andsnes playing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No 5. On March 28 and 30, the orchestra will stage performances of Mozart’s opera, The Magic Flute, and will be joined onstage by the choir of the Budapest Festival Orchestra.

Eat kobe beef
Safina will be hosting a master kobe beef tasting dinner today on Saadiyat Island. Menu items include a tartare of egg yolk with 24-year old balsamic and chive oil, carpaccio with truffle, yuzu pearls and peaches, grilled beef tenderloin with black salsify and petit fours for dessert.

The concert that never happened
The aptly named tribute concert will see artists fronting as Madonna, Tina Turner, Lionel Richie, Cher and R Kelly all on one stage. Hosted at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club, the three-hour show is expected to feature a few classics such as ‘Into The Groove’ by pop icon Madonna, ‘Believe’ by Cher and ‘Simply the Best’ by Tina Turner.

Color Run
Dubbed the Happiest 5K on the planet, check out this fun run around Yas Marina Circuit. With plenty of dry paint thrown in for good measure, get splattered as you make your way around the course. New this year is the day-to-dusk finish and use of glitter at the finish festival.

Go to the zoo in the dark
Al Ain Zoo will offer visitors free-entrance from 7pm to 8.30pm to help them celebrate Earth Hour. There will be guided zoo night walks with flashlights, star gazing with telescopes, and a classical musical performance at the African exhibit.

Eat a candlelit meal

Capital Vibes II (last chance)
The Abu Dhabi Festival’s second edition of Capital Vibes will see eight acts play traditional Arabic, classical, hip-hop, indie rock and Arabic pop outdoors at Yas Marina. Performers include DJ Drob (OMG), Point of View, Sarah Gohary, Craig Perry, Moh Flow, Chronicles of Khan and Sree.

Saadiyat torch walk
Celebrate Earth Hour with a torch-lit walk from Saadiyat Beach Club to St Regis Saadiyat Island. Guests will enjoy light refreshments and a discussion from Dr Nathalie Staelens before starting the 3.5 kilometre walk. After reaching the hotel, walkers can participate in a raffle draw.
