What’s On has details about the new Electric Run, a 5K nighttime fun run by Daman Activelife, to be hosted on January 29, 2016 in Abu Dhabi.

Spice up your fitness routine with a brand new electric fun run. The Daman ActiveLife Electric Run announced today that the inaugural night race will take place in the capital on January 29, 2016.

The event, which will debut in the UAE in Meydan, Dubai on November 6, will be hosted in the evening and encourages participants to dress up in neon colours and outrageous outfits for the race. Open to all fitness levels, after crossing the finish line (by either running, walking or dancing) guests will be able to enjoy a post-race concert, complete with light show and DJ sets.

While the exact location has yet to be revealed, organisers have said more details will be announced in the upcoming weeks. The racecourse itself will feature a variety of “course lands” or funky backdrops for runners including places such as Electro Rainforest, Rainbow Road, Candy Lane, Colour Brick Road and Under the Sea.

“We are delighted to bring to the UAE capital the world’s most social fun run. Soon Abu Dhabi residents will have the chance to buy tickets for this unique music and light spectacle, so watch this space,” said David Sanderson, Event Director from race organisers Fast Track.
