Ariana Grande coming to Abu Dhabi
She’s a pint-sized singer with a huge voice, and Ariana Grande is coming to Abu Dhabi to belt out some big hits as part of the UAE’s 44th National Day celebration.
The 22-year-old American singer – who began her career at just 13 on Broadway – will play the du arena on Yas Island on Thursday December 3, with tickets priced from Dhs250. Pre-sale tickets open up to du customers at noon today, while general release tickets go on sale from noon this Wednesday.
Grande’s vocal range is incredible, and has been compared to divas such as Mariah Carey and Celine Dion: here she is doing a great Christina, Britney and Celine (definitely watch her Celine, it’s next level).
She had the most top 10 singles of any artist in 2014, and her second studio album is the one you’ll know, as it features hits like Problem, Bang Bang, Break Free and Love Me Harder (with The Wknd). From this album alone she spent 34 continuous weeks in the top of the Billboard Hot 100. Impressive.
In fact, we’d argue that Grande (latte’s) Problem is one of the most ear-wormy pop songs of all time – here’s a reminder:
And here’s a tease of her new single, which drops this Thursday (and so is definitely going to be a feature of her Abu Dhabi gig):
