XYoga Dubai: Details of the February yoga festival
Downtown is about to get Zen… A yoga festival is coming to Dubai next month, here’s what to expect.
The first ever XYoga Dubai Festival is kicking off this February and the details have just been announced: it looks there will be something for the full-blown ‘it’s a way of life’ yogi, as well as those who find themselves in downward dog only occasionally.
Running from Friday 19 to Saturday 20 February at Burj Park in Downtown Dubai, there will be a load of free yoga sessions and workshops throughout the weekend (more details below).
There are some international yogis coming over for the festival too, including YouTuber Dashama Konah, whose yoga videos have up to a million views each on YouTube:
There will also be Sadie Nardini, the founder of LA’s Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga, she’s known for blending eastern and western techniques for a turbo-charged practice.
A true star of the show is sure to be Tao Porchon-Lynch (who goes by TAO). The New Yorker is the Guinness World Records certified oldest yoga teacher at 97 years old. What moxie.
Also flying in is Sanne Kerkhof, a Vijnana yoga teacher; New York detox doctor Dr Amy Rachelle and guru Suneel Singh.
They’re also promising live music over the weekend, and we’re sure there will be plenty of healthy food on offer (bliss balls o’clock).
Here’s the full itinerary (you can already register for the classes you’re interested in online)
