Sneak peek: Bounce Abu Dhabi
Check out this behind-the-scenes look of Abu Dhabi’s brand new Bounce trampoline park in Marina Mall.
What’s On took an exclusive hard hat tour of the Bounce construction site to find out just what is on offer when the space opens up later this summer.
The site, which is located where the old ice rink use to be in Marina Mall, is larger than the Al Quoz space in Dubai by about 1,000 square metres. All that extra space means there will also be a couple of firsts too, including two slacklines (think of it as a very bouncy tightrope) near the entrance to keep you entertained while you’re queuing or waiting for your turn. Check out the video of pros slacklining below to see exactly what we mean.
There will also be a zip line to shoot you across the massive space – and in true Bounce style – they’ve got dorsal harnesses so you’ll be going head first, Superman style.
Taking advantage of the fact the site is being built on what was originally meant to be a giant indoor ski slope, they’ve also built two drop slides for guests to use to get to lower floors instead of having to walk down stairs.
And for those who don’t fear heights, there will also be an indoor bungee jump, which will see you plummet vertically 18 metres into the lower basement.
Other facilities on offer include an expanded wall running space, an infinity wall, five party rooms, basketball hoops and a super tramp that will be twice the size of Dubai’s.
While we couldn’t manage to get an official opening date, our guide did say the space should be open “in a couple of months.”
For those of you who can’t wait to get bouncing, there is a small exhibition area that is currently open to the public.
While the current space isn’t big, and only 35 people can be accommodated every hour, it should still give you a good idea of what’s to come. Timings during Ramadan are from 10am to 1am.
