Listen to a story
Take the kiddies to Al Seef Resort and Spa by Andalus for a free story time session. Every Friday the hotel will have readers read children’s books aloud in the morning. Stories will vary but should be suitable for children aged five to ten years old. The hotel is also collecting books to be donated to children’s charity, Operation Smile so if you pop down brings some old books to donate too.

Hang out at The District
During August and September the du Forum becomes The District, an educational destination open seven days a week and aimed at 14 to 22-year-olds. It’s home to five areas, called The Park, The Alley, The Yard, The Street and The Block. Inside you’ll be able to take part in acting classes, attend fashion design shows, learn about smart phone photography and attend 3D design workshops. The organisers claim it’s a place where teens and young adults can socialise, play, think, create, get inspired and be motivated.
