10-day local food festival coming to Abu Dhabi
There’s a new foodie event coming to town that’s celebrating local eats here in the capital. The Abu Dhabi Flavors Festival will be hosted from March 30 to April 8 at the Umm Al Emarat Park.
Organised by Line Rise Exhibitions, the festival will feature a mix of over 150 food tents and street food trucks from local food and beverage outlets here in the UAE.
So what’s on the menu? There’ll be everything from burgers, sushi rolls, shawarmas and freshly baked cookies.
Confirmed outlets include Motorburger, Raclette DXB, Shawarma Code, Spheerz, Rock & rolls, Al Derwaza, Crepes & Poffs, Barbocoa, Extreme Burger, Churros Café, Monkey Cookies, Shish Shawerma, KeKe Sweets, Booth café, Rezz be Halib, Parata Guys, A’abali burger, Saj2Go and more.
In addition the festival will also host live comedy shows, kid activities, live cooking demos and wandering performers.
“Through this initiative, we aim to bring much needed exposure to the UAE’s independent, locally-based home-grown F&B scene,” said Majid El Hamamy, general manager, Line Rise Exhibitions. “The festival is a good chance for the public to get to know what local brands are out there. It also provides an opportunity to families and children to engage with wider community and enjoy their spring break through truly delightful food experiences.”
