My Dubai nightlife: Brizzy shares his favourite music venues in the city
Every month we get an inside look at Dubai from one of its residents.
Last month Dubai Eye’s Stef Burgon walked us through a day in Karama, and now UAE-based R&B artist Saad Brizzy shares his favourite music venues in the city…
As an aspiring artist here in Dubai, music is a very important part of my life…
Naturally I love clubbing in this city, and when it comes to the nightlife here, there’s always somewhere new to try. In terms of music though, White Dubai at Meydan is still number one in my eyes for playing the best music in the city.

Otherwise, the freak factor at Cirque Le Soir makes partying there a really fun experience. It’s full of creativity, colours and entertainment – hopefully one day I will get to perform there.
When we’re looking to do something low key, we head to the desert in our 4x4s to play music by the bonfire…
… or jam on kite beach after eating at one of my favourite restaurants, Al Falamanki in Jumeirah. They serves authentic food that reminds me of my homeland, Lebanon.

Dubai is starting to cultivate music talent in the UAE, which is great. There are several venues in the city that are championing local musical talent where you can see me and other aspiring musicians perform. Two of my favourite spots include Tribeca at JBR and The Fridge in Al Quoz. They both help to shine a light on regional talent.

It’s time for a Middle Eastern music uprising and as the city grows, our voice will grow with it.
