Dinner and a show at the Ritz
The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal is bringing the world’s tiniest chef back to their kitchen.
Measuring around 3 inches tall – give or take – Le Petit Chef sees a teeny tiny digital animation of a French chef take diners on a journey inspired by Marco Polo’s travels.
Guest will be able to watch the little chef explore the world in an experience that can be best described as a cross between 3D animation and motion capture created via overhead projections. The video appears directly on your place setting and follows the cheeky fellow as he travels from Marseille to Arabia, India and China.
Featuring a six-course menu, each course is inspired by a different part of the world the Le Petit Chef’s travels to. The menu includes everything from a trilogy of Arabic mezze, to an Indian-inspired lentil dish, choice of Chinese main (we recommend the prawn in red curry) and a moreish sticky rice pudding slash crème brulee hybrid.
While we don’t want to give away too much of what’s on offer, check out this video to get a better idea of what you’ll experience.
Le Petit Chef will be hosted in Al Fresco restaurant until the end of May, and is available daily at either 7pm or 9.30pm. Don’t be late – as the show starts promptly!
