Videos & pics: How crazy was the weather this weekend?
Rain, thunder and lightning… Dubai’s skies certainly know how to put on a show.

The fork lightning was particularly dramatic:
Fifteen inbound flights had to be diverted from Dubai International Airport on Saturday, and a number of outbound flights were also delayed due to weather conditions, Dubai Airports said.

Dubai’s side roads became puddles, as often happens when it rains:
Meanwhile at the Dubai World Cup, outfits were accessorized with umbrellas as thousands braved the rain to witness the world’s richest race day.

And even cut off some residential areas:
According to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology, the unstable conditions are set to continue today and tomorrow, with increasing cloud, dust storms, and scattered, thundery rain.
However, the end of the wild weather is in sight – things are expected to clear up on Tuesday.
