A new 'super-venue' is opening in Dubai before summer hits
Just when you thought the city’s nightlife scene was about to wind down for the summer…
BASE is a new open-air ‘super-venue’ set to open its doors in the uber-hip Dubai Design District before summer.
Boasting an experience more akin to a boutique festival or concert, the venue will have a multi-tiered adaptable layout with state-of-the-art sound, lighting and pyrotechnics systems. Fancy indeed, but this is Dubai where those sorts of things come as standard.
Luckily, BASE has an ace up its sleeve in the form of a rather impressive line-up of international artists set to perform under its patch of the starry Dubai night sky.
How impressive, you ask? Take a gander at this list of top-notch talent: Sebastian Ingrosso & Axwell, Calvin Harris, 50Cent, Justice, Marco Carola, Afrojack, Nicky Romero, Wiz Khalifa, Future, A$AP Rocky, Chuckie, Big Sean, Pharrell Williams and Fetty Wap to name a few.
Not bad, if we don’t say so ourselves. This would be the first time that acts such as French electro pioneers Justice perform in Dubai, and would see a welcome return from the likes of Pharrell Williams and Calvin Harris.

Details of an official opening date are still unconfirmed, however BASE plans to open its doors for a short series of events before the summer kicks in to showcase the new venue, giving party-goers a taste of things to come once the cooler months come rolling in again.
We’ll keep you posted when we know more.
