Wednesday: Things kick off a touch later on Wednesday, with the gravelly voice of singer, songwriter and guitarist Jay Wud on stage at 10.30pm every Wednesday.

Thursday and Friday: Every weekend, Sound City – arguably one of the UAE’s best cover bands – play The Pub. On Thursday they focus on ’70s and ’80s tunes and on Friday that fast forward and play the hits of the ’90s and current millennium. The lead singer of the band gives us tingles every time with her Janis Joplin-like growl…

Plus, on Saturdays and Sundays in the pub they often host unique live music nights and local album launches.

IN THE CLUB (Weds-Fri 10pm to 3am)

’80s, ’90s, R&B – yes please – we challenge you not to hit the d-floor if you head in here…

R&B and hip hop on Wednesday: The excellent DJ Shef Codes runs through your favourite hip hop & R&B hits every Wednesday night. Plus, bonus, there are two drinks on the house for ladies from midnight to 2am.


’90s night on Thursday: Say sayonara to your week with Dean Curtis’ ode to the music of the 1990s. This is always a big one. Return of the Mack… 

’80s extravaganza on Friday: Adam Graca/Rodge play crowd favourites every Friday. We genuinely challenge you not to dance if you head here on a Friday…
