There's an e-sports tournament next week offering up to Dhs35k in prizes
FIFA 17 and Overwatch players take note…
Are you the kind of gamer that all of your friends refuse to play with because they don’t ever stand a chance of beating you?
Then you’ll finally be able to put those skills to good use at a new e-sports tournament in Dubai next week.
Simply dubbed Middle East Gaming (MEG), the one-day tournament will take place on May 19 at uber-hip Al Quoz event space, Warehouse Four from 3pm until midnight.

Focusing on two popular games across PC and PlayStation 4, the tournament is offering up to Dhs35,000 in cash prizes to the gamers that come out on top.
The bigger chunk of the prize money (Dhs30,000) will go to the winning team in a 6 vs 6 knockout tournament of the popular first-person shooter Overwatch.
A total of 12 teams will duke it out, with four teams being invited to take part by the tournament’s organisers, leaving the remaining eight slots open to the public.
A 32-player FIFA 17 tournament will run concurrently with the Overwatch one, offering Dhs5,000 in prize money and is open to all members of the public.
If you think you’ve got what it takes, head over to the Middle East Gaming website and register for a spot in either tournament.
