Emirati star Mohamed Al Shehhi to take the stage at Dubai Opera
Some great news for fans of Khaleeji music…
Last year Emirati legend Hussain Al Jassmi took to the Dubai Opera stage for a sold out show, and now young, up and coming Khaleeji pop star Mohamed Al Shehhi will perform in the prestigious new venue for a one-night-only show.
The Ras Al Khaimah local will perform at 10pm on Friday June 30, and tickets to the performance will go on sale on Dubai Opera’s website at 2pm today. Tickets start from Dhs150.
He’ll definitely perform his mega hits, including Kachf Al Mahaba, which has had more than 34 million views on YouTube since its release last year:
Al Shehi actually composes and writes most of his songs, and he’s widely considered to represent the Emirati voice of today.
“His music is persuasive, beguiling and catchy and he is certainly the voice of the moment,” said Shelley Frost, Director of music specialists The Fridge.
He’s known for combining Emirati tradition with Western beats and techniques…
