Emirates, Etihad, Fly Dubai & Air Arabia suspending flights to and from Qatar
The flight ban is already causing chaos at Doha airport
Gulf Business is reporting that Etihad Airways have released a statement saying that effective Tuesday June 6, the state-owned airline will halt all flights to and from Doha indefinitely.
The last flight from the capital to Doha is scheduled to depart at 2.45am on Tuesday. All Eithad flights to Doha today (Monday) will operate as normal.
What about Emirates?
Emirates has released an official statement joining Etihad in suspending all flights to and from Doha until further notice, effective the morning of 6 June.
The last Emirates flight from Doha to Dubai will depart at 3.50am on 6 June.
All scheduled flights to and from Doha today (5 June) will operate as normal, however the airline is advising that travellers bound for Doha, who are boarding flights from airports around the Emirates network will be asked to make alternative travel arrangements.
Customers booked on Emirates’ flights to and from Doha will be provided with alternative options including refunds and free rebooking to the nearest alternative destination.
…and Fly Dubai and Air Arabia?
In a statement posted to its Facebook page, Fly Dubai has also confirmed that it will be suspending all flights to and and from Doha Tuesday June 6.
Reuters is reporting that Air Arabia have also cancelled all Doha-related flights in and out of Sharjah effective Tuesday until further notice.
The airline’s last outbound flight from Sharjah to Doha will be be at 6.30pm this evening (Monday).
Passengers who are affected will be given the option of a full refund or have their booking changed to another destination.
How are Qatar Airways flights affected?
Al Arabiya English has taken to Twitter to confirm that Qatar Airways has officially suspended all flights to Saudi Arabia.

There’s still no word if this will spill over into airlines from the UAE, but we can’t imagine that a similar announcement might not be far behind.
Any other airlines I should know about?
Other airlines that have suspended flights to and from Doha include EgyptAir, Saudia Airlines and Bahrain’s Gulf Air.

It looks like things have already taken a chaotic turn at Qatar’s Hamad International Airport, with noted Emirati commentator Sultan Al Qassemi tweeting a link to a picture showing many flights delayed and diverted.

The move to suspend flights comes on the heels of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Egypt severing ties with Qatar under claims that the GCC state supports terrorist organisations.
Saudi Arabia has also reportedly completely closed off its borders in light of this news.
