WATCH: This 360-degree view from the top of the Burj Khalifa is epic
I think can see my house from up here…
The Burj Khalifa is arguably the most iconic building in Dubai – if not the world. At 142 stories, it towers 828 metres above sea level and is visible from anywhere in the city.
In a 360-degree video on the Visit Dubai YouTube channel released by the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), we’re treated to a breathtaking view of the city from the very top of the world’s tallest tower.
The 30 second video is a time lapse of a single day showing the hustle and bustle of the city’s busy centre and, thanks to it being shot on a 360-degree camera, allows the viewer to move around the footage, focusing in on various views. Including a particularly vertigo-inducing one of starting straight down from the top.
We also love how you can follow the movement of the Burj Khalifa’s shadow over the course of the day as it crosses over Sheikh Zayed Road. Epic.
