No casualties reported in Torch Tower fire
This is the second blaze in the luxury apartment building…
A fire broke out at the 86-storey Dubai Marina Torch Tower at around 1am last night, a Dubai Police spokesperson told Gulf News that the fire started on the 9th floor.
Thankfully, with the help of teams from four civil defence stations, everyone was evacuated from the building safely (there is a fire station mere metres from the Torch Tower).
This neighbouring resident showed that the fire was completely out by 3.30am:

The Torch Tower, which was finished in 2011, also caught fire in 2015. In 2016, the UAE government approved extensive recladding works for the building.
H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, was spotted on the scene last night too (he was also involved in the emergency effort at the Address Hotel fire):
