The future Mark Zuckerbergs of the Middle East gathered at Emirates Towers yesterday to show off their game-changing ideas in front of potential investors at the first Arab Youth Startup Market.
HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, was on hand to inaugurate the occasion, saying “This is what the UAE’s leadership have believed in, and worked on enabling [the youth] to significantly contribute in the various aspects of life, and enhance their role in shaping the future,”

The primary purpose of the event is to provide opportunities for young entrepreneurs to rub shoulders and network with over 80 investors from across the region, showing off local innovation and the sharing of knowledge.
Sheikh Hamdan further added that supporting the country’s youth is the best way that the UAE can properly invest in its future.
Organised by the Arab Youth Centre, the event will run until Thursday October 5.
