Duran Duran announced as first headliner for 2018 Dubai Jazz Festival
The British rockers return to Dubai in February to headline the first day of the popular music festival…
The Emirates Airlines Dubai Jazz Festival is a bona fide institution having brought some of the most famous artists on the planet to perform on its stage since 2003.
Everyone from Sting to John Legend to James Blunt has wowed audiences and now for the festival’s 16th edition, the organisers have revealed that renowned British rock band Duran Duran are set to headline the first day on Thursday 21 February 2018.
The three-day festival will run Thursday 21 February to Friday 23 February 2018 with early-bird tickets going sale from tomorrow 6 December at 12pm until Friday 8 December at 12pm exclusively via the official website.
Duran Duran are a hugely influential ’80s band whose expansive catalogue of music has gone on to inspire many of the modern pop, indie and electro-rock outfits that are making waves in today’s music industry.
Fans can expect to hear favourites like ‘Hungry Like The Wolf’, ‘Ordinary World’ and ‘Girls on Film’ as well as songs from their most recent, Top 10 charting album ‘Paper Gods’.
There’s still no word on who will be headlining the remaining two days of the festival but in the meantime, why not turn these classics up loud enough to get the whole office dancing:
