The 14th Middle Eastern branch of the popular Italian will introduce a ladies’ night and brunch…

Popular Italian eatery Carluccio’s has restaurants across the Middle East, and is famed for its all day, easy-eating Italian comfort food.

Well, the latest addition to the Carluccio’s brand, located in the Jumeirah Creekside Hotel, will be the chain’s first licensed venue outside of the airport.

As well as the 210 seating dining space serving up breakfast, lunch and dinner, there’s an al fresco terrace, and a bar with a specially-created menu of sharing plates.

The ground-floor restaurant also plans to introduce a laid-back Italian grazing brunch and a Thursday ladies’ night soon. Plus, to celebrate its opening, there will be a free glass of bubbles this week for all guests who head to the new Carluccio’s restaurant.

And it’s not the only normally unlicensed chain to open a licensed venue.

Recently, part-cafe, part-grocery store Jones the Grocer opened its sixth branch in Emirates Golf Club. The fully licensed cafe/shop replaced Spike Bar, which is moving to the first floor. It has a takeaway counter, children’s play area, lounge seating and full bar service.

The licensed space is open to both members and non-members.

Jones the Grocer and Carluccio’s join famed fried chicken chain Nandos in opening a licensed branch in Dubai.

While Nandos now has restaurants across the city including in Burj residences, The Greens and Internet City, its restaurant in Al Barsha’s Novotel Suites is the only licensed branch in the city where you can enjoy a beer with your piri-piri fried chicken.
