Watch the Burj Al Arab fireworks or Burj Khalifa laser show from the water…

Want to ring in the New Year from best seat in the house to catch the Burj Al Arab fireworks or the Burj Khalifa laser show? Then RTA has you covered thanks to a range of new services it will be running to coincide with various New Year’s celebrations taking place around Dubai.

Eager New Year’s Eve revellers can take a ride aboard an RTA water bus, Dubai ferry or abra and watch the festivities unfold at the Burj Al Arab, Burj Al Arab,  Atlantis and Dubai Water Canal from the water.

Dubai Ferry trips depart from Marina Mall Station (Dubai Marina), Ghubaiba Station, Dubai Festival City Station (Dubai Creek) and Sheikh Zayed Road Station (Dubai Water Canal) at 9pm on December 31, and continue on until 1.30am the following morning. They are priced at Dhs300 for silver class and Dhs450 for gold class, with a 50 per cent discount for children aged between two and 10 years of age, and free for children under two.

Water Bus and abra trips begin an hour earlier at 10.30pm and also run until 1.30am. The Water Bus service runs from Terrace & Promenade Station and Marina Mall (Dubai Marina), while Abra trips depart from Dubai Festival City, Jaddaf Station and Ghubaiba Station
