Seven DJs still set to perform in Dubai in 2017
There’s still a stellar line up of international acts headed for the city before the year is out…
It’s been a massive year in live music in Dubai.
From Dubai Jazz Festival bringing Tom Jones, Enrique Iglesias and Mariah Carey to the city in February, to Justin Bieber, that Guns and Roses Gig, Ed Sheeran, J-Lo and Liam Gallagher, there have been some stellar stars take to the stage in Dubai in 2017.
And then there’s the DJs. From Kygo’s killer set at Burj Park, to the Chemical brothers raising the roof at Media City Amphitheatre and all those who’ve joined us in between, Dubai has definitely delivered this year.
But the city isn’t done yet. From Roger Sanchez and Klingande at Soho Garden, to Hardwell at Nasimi and Lost Frequencies finishing the year at Five Palm Jumeirah, here are seven big gigs in Dubai you won’t want to miss.
December 22: Roger Sanchez at Soho Garden
The hotly anticipated Soho Garden is opening tomorrow in Dubai’s Meydan and they’re bringing internationally acclaimed Roger Sanchez to kick things off at the new nightlife concept. Sanchez, who began his career in the early 90s, is most famed for his remix of Hella Good by No Doubt, for which he won a Grammy in 2003. The legendary DJ has scored numerous chart-toppers through his career, both with his own music and the remixes he has created for an array of superstars. He’s worked with the likes of Diana Ross, Daft Punk and Kylie Minogue. He also founded two record labels, Stealth Records and Undr The Radar.

December 28: Hardwell at Nasimi Beach
The world’s number one electronic DJ, Hardwell will make his debut appearance at Nasimi Beach on Thursday 28th of December. Taking place from 7pm to 3am, the Dutch progressive electronic house dynamo will touch down on Nasimi’s shores as part of his global tour, closing 2017 with an epic set of tracks from his stellar catalog. December 31: Sigma and Jax Jones at Zero Gravity
One of its biggest New Year’s celebrations to date, Zero Gravity will welcome back DJs Jax Jones and Sigma to celebrate New Year’s Eve at the beach club. Jones is best known for featuring on Duke Dumont’s number one hit I Got U and his 2016 top ten single You Don’t Know Me. Also, flying the flag for British music is Sigma, famed for their UK number 1 single Nobody to Love.

December 31: Klingande at Soho Garden
It’s not even open yet but Soho Garden are already vying for the top spot when it comes to going all out in Dubai for New Year’s Eve. The new nightlife concept will be ringing in 2018 with French DJ and melodic house producer Klingande.

December 31: Judge Jules at Q43
Popular Media City loft lounge Q43 is bringing legendary DJ Judge Jules to its annual New Year’s Eve party this year. Foodies can enjoy Q43’s special set menu featuring seasonal dishes in the restaurant, or if you’re there for the party, get down to the DJ’s catchy beats in the bar area. December 31: Lost Frequencies at FIVE
FIVE Palm Jumeirah Dubai is bringing award-winning DJ Lost Frequencies, made famous by “Are You With Me” to its recently opened The Penthouse lounge’s New Year’s Eve celebration. Located on the 16th floor, overlooking Dubai Marina on one side and all the way to Downtown Dubai on the other, the New Year’s Eve opening party will include views of the city’s fireworks and a range of live entertainment, including disco dollies, saxophonist Chris Engel and a warm up act by DJ Nua.

December 31: Solomun at Blue Marlin
To keep out of New Year’s Eve Downtown traffic, head in the opposite direction to Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE. The popular party spot on the edge of town is bringing legendary German DJ Solomun to its shores for the final celebration of the year, with open bar drinks packages starting from Dhs500 for girls and Dhs700 for guys.
