10 things to look forward to in Dubai this March
A super sized evening brunch, mega clubs, art, performances, and the return of Dubai World Cup…
It’s almost a new month, and with it comes plenty of new things to do. This March kicks off with a new addition of the Big Bite Out – our favourite one-off evening brunch, the launch of a mega club, the return of Art Dubai, a huge yoga event and the annual Dubai World Cup fever will takeover Meydan.

March 1: Tuck in to a super sized evening brunch
Madinat Jumeirah’s Big Bite Out is back this Thursday. The four-hour night brunch takes over six restaurants across the three hotels in the resort, and you can mix and match between drinking and dining around all the venues. It features restaurants including Rockfish, The Hide, Al Hambra and Tortuga.

March 2 to 10: Get lit with some top class authors
Dubai is set to host 170 international authors for the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature. The festival, which celebrates its 10th birthday this year, will take place from March 1 to 10. The list of writers appearing includes three of the world’s most beloved children’s book authors; Jacqueline Wilson, Anthony Horrowitz and comedian turned author David Walliams.

March 8: Dine at the hands of five top chefs
The Square, the licensed dining destination located at City Walk, is set to present a new dining experience called The Urban Jungle on March 8. This interactive and immersive dining experience brings together five top chefs to present a gourmet, 9-course dining experience. In the kitchen will be Virgilio Martinez of LIMA Dubai, Jeff and Chris Galvin of Galvin Dubai and Jamie Bissonnette and Ken Oringer of Toro + KO. The courses include wine pairings, and the package price is inclusive of entrance to the after-party at Galvin.

March 16: Party at the ultimate Paddy’s Day party
McGettigans are throwing the Middle East’s biggest St Patrick’s Day party on March 16 at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre. The one-day event will feature a lineup of international musical acts, food and drinks from McGettigan’s bars and a range of live entertainment. Irish rockers Koadaline will headline.

March 16 and 17: Find your zen with a massive yoga event
Dubai’s popular yoga festival, XYoga, returns for two days of holistic events and entertainment on March 16. Free sessions will take place on the beach all weekend, plus there’s a famous yogi flying in to teach a class, Tao Porchon-Lynch. At 99 years old, she holds the Guinness World Record for being the oldest yoga teacher in the world. Elsewhere, you’ll find healthy food stalls, yoga equipment, entertainment and more. March 17: Celebrate the second anniversary of a famous beach club
Luxury beach club Nikki Beach is turning two this month, and throwing an almighty bash to celebrate. Expect a stellar line up of live entertainment, performances and musical acts.

March 21 to 24: Get your culture fix at Art Dubai

March 23 : See an award winning singer perform at Dubai Opera
His stirring single Human is the perfect blend of pop and blues – which is why it’s gained 411 million views on YouTube – and Rag’n’Bone Man, aka Rory Graham, will play a one-night-only show at Dubai Opera on March 23. Graham won two BRIT Awards this year – he won Critics’ Choice and the Best British Breakthrough Act – and his Dubai Opera performance will be part of his European tour.

March: Celebrate the opening of a new super club
New York export 1 OAK opens this month, replacing VIP Room in the JW Marriott Marquis Dubai. It’s New York, Las Vegas and LA branches have welcomed guests including Beyonce and Rihanna, to name-drop just a couple. The club has an ultra-luxury feel, with fancy installations, slick black interiors and avant-garde lighting. 1 OAK is set for a glitzy grand launch the first week of March, with an as yet unannounced headline act.
