Tom Cruise is filming in Abu Dhabi and talking about it on Twitter
The Hollywood star is in the emirate right now, but which film is he working on?
Abu Dhabi is no stranger to Hollywood movies – Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Fast & Furious 7 were shot here in recent years – and it looks like another major flick is currently filming here, and it stars one of the biggest stars on the planet: Tom Cruise is in the capital, and he’s enjoying his trip so much he has taken to Twitter to talk about it. Check out the tweet from Cruise below.
Thank you to everyone in Abu Dhabi for the amazing help and cooperation. Our filming here continues to be a wonderful experience.

We don’t yet know what film he is working on in the capital, although most speculation suggests it could the latest flick in his Mission Impossible series, Mission: Impossible – Fallout, which is due out later this year. The only other film he is scheduled to be working on is Top Gun: Maverick, the follow-up to the classic 1980s movie, although that is currently only in pre-production. Fallout is currently in post-production.
But it’s good to see that Tom called his time in Abu Dhabi “a wonderful experience”. And it’s great he’s said that to his followers – an incredible 6.7 million of them.
It’s not the first time Cruise has shot a film in the UAE. Scenes for his 2011 hit Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol were shot in Dubai, in the desert and up the Burj Khalifa. Cruise was praised for doing the stunt on the Burj himself. Check out the video below.
