A luxury sustainable beach resort is opening in the UAE in November

The UAE has its fair share of luxury resorts, and while many of them offer five-star-and-greater service and cracking beaches, none of them can claim to be fully sustainable and eco-friendly.
That is until now. The Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort in Abu Dhabi is set to open its doors on Sunday, 11 November and will offer a host of environmentally conscious initiatives.
The 293-room beachfront hotel will be completely free of any single-use plastic bottles and plastic straws. Instead, it will provide complementary reusable plastic bottles for all guests, who will be encouraged to refill at water stations throughout the property. In addition, local filtered water will also be served in glass bottles as an alternative.
Of course, there will still be plenty of luxury for guests to enjoy in amongst all the planet-saving, including three infinity pools, a spa with 14 treatment rooms, and nine kilometers of sweeping beachfront where, during the right season, you’ll be able to catch a glimpse of the Hawksbill turtles that are native to the island.
In addition to its standard rooms, the property will also offer eight villas with private pools and 70 suites. Six of the suites have panoramic floor-to-ceiling glass walls which can open up to take advantage of the sea breeze. There’s even a VIP couple’s suite with its own private entrance.
On the F&B front, the Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort will have a total of eight outlets including, a chic all-day dining venue, an authentic Italian restaurant, plus a Levantine-inspired eatery and a sports bar.
We can’t wait to check it out. Saving the environment while lavishing in luxury sounds like a win-win to us.
