Four days of dance classes and workshops with some of the genre’s top talent

If you’ve got a fiery passion for dance that just won’t be quelled, then you’ll want to head down to the Dubai Tango Festival this week.

Now in its tenth year, the annual celebration of the Argentinian art form kicks off on Wednesday, May 9 at the Roda Al Bustan hotel near Dubai International Airport, and promises four fun-filled days of dance classes and workshops.

World-class international tango duos Los Totis and Vanesa Villalba and Facundo Pinero will be on-hand to instruct eager milongueros across beginner, intermediate and advanced techniques.

The four-day event will culminate in a lavish gala dinner on Friday, May 11 in the hotel’s Grand Rashidiya Ballroom, complete with an epic milonga (basically a dance party where everyone shows off their best tango moves) soundtracked by Argentinian DJ Punto Y Branca.

Free Yoga classes will also be held each morning by Beirut-based yogi Carla Moukarzel.
