Etihad will distribute 150,000 in-flight meals to charity each year
The initiative will continue on beyond 2018…
Ramadan is upon us, and in the true spirit of the Holy Month the Etihad Aviation Group has announced a fantastic new initiative that will help see that those less fortunate won’t have to go hungry.
The airline has partnered with Emirates Red Crescent and the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority to donate approximately 150,000 in-flight meals to workers in the capital.

Each day 400 meals will be prepared right alongside those bound for the airline’s three on board cabins – they will then be loaded onto a truck purpose-built to keep them fresh, and transported to the labourer residences in the Mussaffah area.
The initiative is is expected to carry on throughout 2018 and continue into the foreseeable future, falling in line with the 2018 Year of Zayed and to promote the spirit of sharing during the month of Ramadan.
